SPOTLIGHT ON EVIA
The 23 Dragon Houses of South Evia are a well known mystery of Evia. The Dragon Houses are Neolithic monuments that have been puzzling archaeologists since the time they were discovered. Archeologists believe they were built between the 13th and the 3rd century B.C. They are called Dragon Houses because of their huge size. The myth says they were built by a very large creature or by millions of dragonflies that lifted the stones with their magic.
MARMARI SURF CLUB
Restrictions on movement in Greece are gradually being lifted and we couldn’t help but get on the water and practice some social distancing. The conditions here in Marmari in early May are perfect for big kites and foilboarding as the wind blows in from the South. Wind speeds of around 10-15knts are typical for this time on the year and with the wind comes glorious sunshine. The water is very flat and although a wetsuit is still needed, the temperature is warming up nicely.
MEET THE TEAM
Kostas has been our resident chef at Marmari Surf Club for the past 3 years. This year he has used all of his 10 years of experience working in kitchens around the world to offer you a brand new menu. We now offer a wider selection of food for vegans, vegetarians and meat lovers alike. We also have a dedicated kids menu too this year.
Being Greek he loves nothing more than feeding people.
