We have been keeping track of all the latest news regarding travel to Greece. There are many things being discussed. The Greek government have spoken with other nations including Australia, Austria Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Israel and Norway to create safe travel corridors between countries. They have also set out guidelines for when visitors can starting entering Greece from abroad, however no set date is confirmed. Travel between the Greek islands via domestic flights and the ferry network are expected to be operational in the coming week. Lufthansa airlines has announced that they will resume flights from Germany to Athens from the 18th May. Flights from Paris to Athens are expected to commence from 23rd May. The opening of boarders with Bulgaria has also been discussed. When further details are confirmed we will be sure to update you.

We offer four activity themed boat trips. Join us for a half day kitesurfing safari to flat water spots or choose our half day SUP downwinder to the Petali islands lagoon. Our morning and evening fishing boat trips are great fun for families and groups of friends. If you want to take things at a slower pace, escape to nearby hidden islands that surround Marmari on one of our half day sailing trips aboard our luxury 380 Lagoon catamaran.

Boats depart daily from our surf club in Marmari and from the port outside our new restaurant. This small port town offers everything you would expect from an authentic Greek island getaway. Fantastic local cuisine, a relaxed slow paced environment and friendly locals await you.

At Marmari Surf Club we pride ourselves on the quality of our food we serve from our beach bar. Over the past month we have been preparing the ground ready for our second season of growing our own fruit and vegetables to offer you the freshest local grown ingredients. Our plot is bigger this year and hope to fill it in the coming week ahead. Planting commenced with the first crop of tomatoes in the ground. Watermelon and cucumbers next.

Some of the team ventured up into the mountains and to the bases of the wind turbines that form part of the Evia skyline. Greece strives to be a pioneer in renewable energy and the largest wind farm in the country is located at Kafireas in Evia.

The creation of power produced by the force of the wind is what we love about kitesurfing so much. To use the wind to create fuel for our homes while invading on the natural landscape is the debate.
