The Petali Island group includes several gorgeous islands, offering private spots and crystal blue waters. These paradise islands are located 4 hours sailing from Athens to South Evia and the Marmari gulf. It offers guaranteed wind conditions, flat water and small wave areas. It also has great opportunities for downwinders. If you choose, you can take things at a slower pace with our stand up paddle boards and take advantage of the numerous spots for swimming, snorkelling and diving.

Enjoy absolute privacy on the island that the Picasso family and the past Kings of Greece built their holiday homes on in the early 20th century.

Let’s not forget Karystos port which can get very lively during the summer and of course the very best kitesurfing spot east of the Petali Islands lagoon, Marmari Surf Club.

Without a doubt, Cyclades are one of the best kitesurfing playgrounds in the world.

Our journey starts at the port of Laurio in Athens where we set sail towards the Petali islands lagoon. Here we will spend our first night ready for a full day of kitesurfing when you wake up the next day. Over the course of the following days we will visit the famous kite destinations of Paros and Antiparos, Naxos and Mykonos as well as less known paradises like Reinia Islands south of Mykonos, the Blue lagoon south of Paros and other deserted islands you can only reach by boat.

There’s no need to worry about connecting flights to the Cyclades. Our yachts are docked at the port of Laurio which is only 15 minutes drive away from Athens International Airport. Optionally for a small extra charge you can board at the ports of Paros or Mykonos. If one of our Catamarans is already sailing in the area there is no extra charge.

Cyclades Kitesurfing Cruises is offered as a 7 day or 10 day vacation. Our mission is to make your kitesurfing holiday as pleasant and as safe as possible so with that in mind we propose very specific itineraries. The Aegean Sea can get rough during the peak of the Meltemi season (July and August) and as a result delays can occur.

Our advice is to choose the 10 day cruise if you plan to arrive at Athens International Airport. These extra 3 days, in comparison to our 7 day cruise, provides enough time to sail south from Athens to Cyclades and back again resulting in 7 to 8 full days of kitesurfing. If you are heading to one of the Cycladic ports to join the cruise, then the 7 day cruise provides plenty of time to enjoy 5 to 6 full days of kitesurfing.

Cyclades Kitesurfing Cruises Itinerary

DAY 1
Arrive at Laurio Port located 15 minutes drive from Athens International airport and board your vessel in the afternoon.

After settling in you will get a comprehensive briefing before departing to the Cyclades. The conditions of the wind will select the first destination.

DAY 2-6
Depending on wind conditions we plan our journey for the following days. The Meltemi wind is stable and predictable and we usually start our cruise at Paros and the celebrity island of Antiparos. We then move to Naxos stopping at Kyra Panagia island, a deserted island very close to Paros. In Naxos we will visit the well known Mikri Vigla kite beach and then we sail to Mykonos and one of the newest kiteboarding spots in the Cyclades, Korfos Beach, Our final stop is the amazing island complex of Reinia south of Mykonos.

DAY 7
Arrive back to Laurio port and depart to the airport.
